Location: 75 Spruce Street Campus, The Community Charter School of Paterson
General Duties: The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking a teacher to implement a rigorous, engaging, individualized instructional program and classroom environment conducive to learning at the highest levels; establishes effective rapport with students; motivates students to develop mastery of academic standards as well as the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to be successful in college and career; and establishes good relationships with parents and other CCSP staff members.
Elementary School Humanities Teacher Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Curriculum & Instruction
2) Data Track and analyze student data to identify student learning needs and set ambitious, attainable goals for student progress.
3) Classroom Environment

Program Duration: August 14, 2023 - June 24, 2024
Hours: 7:55 am to 3:05 pm Monday & Wednesday- Friday
7:55 am to 4:30 pm Tuesdays*
*Additional 85 minutes for weekly professional development.
Salary: Starting at $61,000 and up based on experience as per collective bargaining agreement

- Demonstrating solid knowledge and understanding of the content matter.
- Establishing, communicating, and demanding high expectations for student learning, and quality of work. Executing detailed lesson plans mapped to a year-long academic plan to address learning needs.
2) Data Track and analyze student data to identify student learning needs and set ambitious, attainable goals for student progress.
- Planning and implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes. Working collaboratively with the principal and other teachers to develop and revise curriculum based on assessment data.
3) Classroom Environment
- Maintaining an efficient, respectful and positive tone in your classroom
- Ensuring that all students are on task at all times during a lesson.
- Clearly enforcing and emphasizing school rules, values and expectations.
Elementary School Humanities Teacher Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a competitive college or university. GPA must meet minimum requirements for NJ DOE certification.
- Demonstrated mastery of content knowledge and ability to drive student growth.
- Evidence of NJ Department of Education certification (CE/CEAS/Provisional/Standard) or out of state certification.
Program Duration: August 14, 2023 - June 24, 2024
