New Jersey Department of Education Receives $14 Million Federal Grant to Support Youth Mental Health Efforts

An expansion of mental health services in schools is being funded by a $14 million federal grant awarded by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) over the next five years. Schools with the greatest need will receive funding for psychologists, counselors, and social workers under the School-Based Mental Health Services Grant Program. Another step in providing comprehensive mental health services to students throughout the state is now being taken by the Murphy Administration through this funding.
